After the pre-wedding in Jamnagar to another cocktail party in Europe, the nuptial festivities concluded to pave the way for the mega wedding party in Mumbai. The end of 10-day-long celebrations leads to the ultimate celebrations – the Shubh Vivah (the wedding ceremony), and the Shub Ashirwad (the blessing ceremony). This was followed by the reception, where we saw our favourite celebrities adorning extravagant jewellery, elegant attires, and, most importantly, makeup that made all heads turn.
Although the stars of the show were Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, this article is an appreciation letter to the five wedding guests who caught our eye with their sophisticated looks that will go down in history. So without further ado, let’s unwrap the beauty looks and see how we can recreate it using products on Nykaa.
Our Resident Beauty Queen: Janhvi Kapoor
Apart from the wedding hosts – the Ambanis & Merchants themselves – if there is anyone who stole the show with multiple looks (each one better than the last), there is none other than Nykaa’s Brand Ambassador Janhvi Kapoor. Her makeup looks were nothing short of pure royalty. Out of all the looks Janhvi served, what caught our eye the most was the second wedding look. The diamond-studded gown was perfectly paired with a dry-wet look.
She maintained the right balance with gold on her lids and a full set of lashes. Her cheeks looked naturally flushed and a brown brow completed her whole look. For the pout, she flaunted a brown lip liner with toasted mauve lipstick and a generous layer of gloss. What really made a mark was the subtle sheen on the high points of her face and her décolletage, making her exude the aura of the gorgeous goddess that she is.

Doe-Eyed Princess: Khushi Kapoor
As Sir Boney Kapoor has rightfully commented on Khushi Kapoor’s Instagram post saying, “Killing it beta,” we can’t agree more. Following her elder sister’s footsteps, Kushi Kapoor has been killing it with her makeup game. Why should we get anything else for the much-awaited Ambani wedding?
Khushi wore a beautiful mermaid silhouette and adorned a minimal makeup look with a focus on her gorgeous eyes and lips. She was seen wearing a soft cottage-core lip colour with long Bambi-like lashes, and some princess blush.

Keeping Up With Kardashians: Kim K
I honestly need to keep up with the Kardashians because what is Kim K doing in India for a wedding other than giving Princess Jasmine a chef’s kiss? She really understood the assignment and went extra, like every other guest at a big fat Indian wedding.
A particular look that I loved the most was the one she wore at the first wedding event – the Shubh Vivah. Kim really channelled her inner Komolika in an all-red lehenga, mountain peak pink nails, the 90s’ nude lip, heavily lined eyes, and vampy lashes. A look that we can all take notes from when you need to serve seriously.

Desi Girl On The Floor: Priyanka Chopra
It takes something big for a mother of an infant to fly thousands of miles to her home town and that something was an Ambani wedding. I’m not one of the Jonas brothers, but I too am a “Sucker” for you, Priyanka. Especially that red lip that many celebrities are shying away from these days.
Priyanka wore the most beautiful lehenga with the quintessential Indian wedding guest-bold-makeup look that we have all been craving among a sea of pastel beauties. Her red lips, brow eyes, dark brows, and rose gold lids scream desi wedding guest, and we are here for it.

Diva Of All Time: Alia Bhatt
Can there ever be a round-up of beauty looks without mentioning Alia Bhatt? I think not. Alia Bhatt has been sending us to makeup heaven with minimal and effortless looks. Alia is the epitome of elegance when it comes to a wedding, right from her own wedding to the much-awaited Anant-Radhika union, she never misses.
We can see her wearing her quintessential lip product – The Charlotte Tilbury in the shade Pillowtalk. Along with that, there’s also some gold shimmer happening on her eyelids. Without lining her eyes, she’s wearing a little mascara that draws attention to her eyes without being too gaudy.

The wedding may be finally over but we can say for sure we are not over some of these looks. These five women have given us some beautiful looks that we will recreate for our own wedding-themed parties. Let us know if you have any more looks for us to dissect and we will unpack that in this space. Until the next event, au revoir!
