We've not heard anyone with an accent as cute as yours. Where did you pick it up?
Well, I spent most of my childhood overseas. My formative years were in Africa, followed by moves to London, Australia, the US and finally India. So, I've picked up a very mismatched sort of accent, I'd have to say its developed over the years.
One of the highlights of your television career was hosting 'The Stage' on which your ensemble always stole the show. What's the secret behind your fashion-forward attire?
Fashion for me is about being comfortable. But prior to each episode, I would sit with my team to discuss my vision. I'd look up numerous references for both my hair and makeup. I'd also have mood boards prepared so that every detail was incorporated, no matter how small. Getting dressed was always a team effort, my makeup artists and hair stylists were the best and it's their combined efforts that you saw on the show.
What does beauty mean to you?
Confidence. If you’re confident and sure of yourself, you will feel beautiful irrespective of the circumstance.
How do you always manage to look so stunning on stage? What's the secret to your gorgeous figure?
I eat healthy and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. I’m in an industry with varying timings, so I do low impact cardio exercises any chance I get.
You also have flawless skin. Any tips and tricks you swear by?
I do have a tip not many people know of. I use Rosehip Toner and I’ve found it really clears my skin.
What's in your makeup bag right now?
There are a few things that I never leave home without. First off is my Marc Jacobs Mascara. It’s my holy grail product that I can’t live without. Then my Hourglass Lipstick and Bronzer followed by my Christian Dior Eyebrow pencils. They have an ultra-soft powdery texture that tame my brows effortlessly.
If you were stranded on an island with just three product, what would you choose?
Haha, that’s easy! Top of the list is my SK II Facial Treatment Essence. It replenishes moisture on my face and neck without the overtly greasy feeling. Then my Embryolisse Moisturizer and Rosehip Toner. I like taking care of my skin, because I believe beauty stems from within.
Are you excited about Christmas?
Of course, I love Christmas! But this year unfortunately I’ll be working, so I won’t have a lot time to indulge in the holiday cheer.
Do you have a Christmas beauty wish list?
Oh yes! Currently I’m hoarding Peter Thomas Roth masks. They feel like HEAVEN on my skin! I’ve already stocked up on Rose Stem Cell, Pumpkin Enzyme, and Cucumber Gel Masks. Next, I’m going to try a luxurious treat, the 24K Gold Mask.
Your beauty resolution for 2017?
I’d have to be honest here. I’m not blessed with the best skin and hence I’d like to work on that aspect of my body. For me personally 2017 is going to be all about upping my skincare game.
