‘Tis the season to try the latest “ I’m cold” makeup trend – it’s a transition from the sunburn blush with faux freckles to the ‘chilly days’ flushed look. The key to acing this viral trend is keeping your base matte, and applying a generous amount of blush across your cheeks and the nose too. We’re talking rosy cheeks, a flushed nose and a matte base, which mimics the exact look if you had just l taken a walk in the park with the chilly breeze hitting your face. This trend is all the rage, and we had to give you a lowdown on how you can achieve this look.
To recreate the ‘cold girl’ makeup look, start with a light base. CC cream, lightweight foundation or even a concealer, take your pick and get started. To keep it looking natural, use just enough concealer to cover any spots or blemishes. Top that up with a translucent setting powder to set your base and give it a matte finish. Next up is the blush! While a little blush goes a long way in giving you a nice flushed look, this trend requires you to go all out. Blend a generous amount of blush across your cheeks, and dab some on the tip of your nose, a little on the cupid’s bow, and the chin. Add a touch of shimmer with a little bit of highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes and on your lash line. For the lips - first, moisturise them well with a trusty lip balm. Follow that up with a little dab of lipstick on the centre of your lips or stick to a lip gloss. Finish up with mascara. And you’re ready to go!
