Colored Liner
A swipe of turquoise blue or forest green instant lights up the eyes and is super easy to incorporate in your look too. I love adding a dash of color to the waterline and lower lash line to brighten up eyes on balmy summer days. Maybelline has a beautiful range of colored kohls that make flaunting bright liner easily affordable. My personal favorite is the shade Turquoise which looks beautiful on brown eyes. Give black a break this summer and make a colorful splash.

Tinted Lip Balm
There are always days when you don’t feel like wearing much makeup when it’s sweltering outside. But a tinted lip balm in a sheer, bright color in a great way to add some moisture (the heat dehydrates the lips too) and a little color to the face without looking made up. I've been reaching for the Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop in Berry Bomb these days. The fruity flavor is refreshing and the sheer berry tint looks very flattering and natural on the lips. Bright Lipstick
Matte lips are all the rage right now and you can find matte lip colors from almost every brand. Mattes are great for summers because they don’t melt and get messy like very creamy lipsticks. My pick this summer is the newly launched Lakme Absolute Sculpt Matte Lipstick which combines rich pigment with a soft matte, comfortable formula. Shades like Tangerine Lush and Rose Bloom are great for day wear while deeper shades like Plum Spell and Red Rush are perfect to glam up summer evenings.

Light Protective Base
Most of us dread wearing foundation during the day in summer, especially if you’re heading out. I opt for a light to medium coverage BB or CC cream preferably with a satin or matte finish to avoid foundation meltdowns. The Colorbar Perfect Match BB Cream is a good option as it isn’t too heavy yet gives enough coverage to even out the skin tone. The added SPF is a bonus that adds a layer of protection over and above regular sunscreen.
