In fact the tutorial below is simple, quick and oh so fab! A mixture of twist, inverted braid and an updo, this hairstyle will win top marks and envy every time you sport it. It's so easy that can even recreate it on a busy work morning. All you need is some hair pins, a hair brush and some hair decorations (if you want to make it extra dressy).
You will need
Basic hair tools; a rubber band (preferably one that matches your hair color), U-shaped hair pins, bobby pins and hair decorations (optional).
However, it’s important to shampoo and condition your hair before you start. Choose a shampoo based on your hair type. Let's get started
Step 1: Create a middle or side parting. Grab a small section of hair from top of your head and twist it inwards.
Step 2: Grab small sections of hair going downwards and add to the main section. Keep twisting inwards.
Step 3: By this time your hair will look something like this. Repeat the same procedure on the other side as well.
Step 4: Now tie both the twisted sections at the back of your head with a rubber band. You can cover up the rubber band either with a small section of hair twisted around it or with a fancy hair clip as seen in the picture below.
Step 5: Now divide the hair into three sections.
Step 6: Start braiding a normal braid but in an inverted manner, that is, strand 3 goes under strand 2 and over strand 1.
Step 7: Now strand 3 becomes strand 1 on your left which will go under the middle strand and over the one of the far right. Repeat the braid till you reach the bottom of your hair and secure it with a rubber band.
Step 8: Now start fanning out the braid by pulling the hair from the outer edges as shown in the picture. This will give more volume to the braid.
Step 9: You may stop at this point and accessorize the braid with some pretty floral decorations.
Step 10: Alternately you can roll the braid into a bun. Secure it by inserting U-shaped bun hair pins and bobby pins.
Step 11: Tuck in the loose ends with bobby pins. Accessorize using pretty flower clips and hair decorations to make your up-do more formal for special occasions.
