In the run-up to the release in May, fans are ready to ship Penelope and Collin (or, as fans call them, Polin) – the third Bridgerton-sibling to be engulfed in the wedding fever in Her Majesty’s court. But we, at Nykaa, are more excited to see the women in their most immaculate fits and dramatic styles. Although this show has provoked countless discussions about everyone’s extravagant costumes and over-the-top hairstyles, what seems to be falling through the cracks are the subtle, elegant, yet mesmerising makeup on the actors.

From Miss Fearthington in season one to Lady Whistledown in season two, and now potentially Mrs Bridgerton, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope, has had the most dramatic character arc in the show. I have been rooting for her since she played Claire Devlin in Derry Girls (2018) to the third chapter of the pandemic-release – Bridgerton, we are finally set to see Nicola play the leading lady in this period drama. And what’s a leading lady without a beauty look that screams her personality with just one picture? Her piercing blue eyes, coral-red lips, flushed cheeks and locks of auburn hair are what make her so unique.
